Never able to accomplish this with any other app.Ībout how to set a word as key cap or output: I've actually been able to make keyboards that I can use my fingers to type on in practically the same way that I use a "regular" keyboard. Update: After using this app for several months, I've gotten quite familiar with its particular controls. Need a series of coding words at your fingertips, for example? One particularly neat aspect of the app is the ability to assign to keys not just letters or symbols but "words." The possibilities there are exciting once you stop and think about it. Although the learning curve is somewhat tricky, once you've figured out the basics and start to discover the hidden shortcuts, things move much more quickly. And tbh I wouldn’t mind a few ads between switching menus just now ads that block the interface!įor keyboard customization geeks, this is the app you have been waiting for - the only iOS app I've found that literally lets you make keyboards for your iPad or iPhone. Other than that I think it’s a great app! And would love to see continued development. One bug I’ve found is (when trying to remove the last cell on a layer causes the app to crashes and makes that layer on accessible due to crashing). Like make it to where you can go straight into the keyboard customization. Oh and one big thing is that when you open the app it feels very closed off. Another thing that would make this app a lot better is a more user friendly interface, perhaps even a drag resize and snap system for layer creation. For example, you should stream line the creation of layers, and make it to where you can duplicate and save individual layers. The interface is to say the least confusing but with no ads and pay blocks I got to say. Not only can you make your own it comes with HEAPS of Unicode symbols and characters. It’s a bit rough, but from what I’ve found it is the ONLY app of its kind, it truly has customizable keyboards. Why pay for a custom background when you can get for free with google? Lol. I know, I know theirs tons of apps for “customizing your keyboard” but most are just sad cash grabs. Most of the features could be preview and have a try, but install keyboards to extension need pay to unlock.
